Bringing Back the 1920's
Since Halloween was on a Saturday this year we were able to party all weekend! Friday night we were invited to a murder mystery party in Midway. I was Vicky Ravioli. My husband had recently divorced me for a younger girl and I had received $50,000 dollars in the settlement. My motto the entire night was "I turned him from a boy to a man for another woman." Haha...I wasn't bitter though because I was secretly dating two other men, one of them was Brooke's husband in the murder mystery. What a scandalous woman!
I really enjoyed getting my costume together for this party though. Brooke was originally going to wear the wig but she didn't like it so I decided to wear it. It was a fun change for the night. I decided though that I love my long hair and that wig gave me more short hair fulfillment for the night so I won't cut my hair again! I had a lot of fun researching 1920s styles and creating a costume. The styles are becoming modern again. It was easy to find my costume. I think the 1920s fashions are so great!
This picture was on Halloween night! I had to lose the wig because it gave me such a bad headache on Friday night. I woke up on Saturday and the thought of wearing it again made me want to cry so I improvised! On Friday we went to a party in Lindon at Noah's place. Then we went to a party that was just across the street from our apartment complex. They were both a lot of fun and I love dressing up! I love Halloween more and more every year! To top off Halloween night we made caramel apples! Yummy!

Fall Fun!
I love fall! It is definitely my favorite season of the year! The different colors of the leaves are so beautiful and the weather is perfect! Now it is getting cold but here is a little summary of what I did to enjoy fall this year!
Brooke, Dede, and I drove the Alpine Loop at the end of September and took some fun fall pictures. It was so great! I would recommend that everyone make this drive in the fall

Aren't the colors beautiful? Provo is definitely a great place to be in the fall!

I also had the opportunity to go on my first horseback ride this fall. Being from Idaho you would think that I had gone before but I haven't. One of my good friends Jake trains horses and let us come out one Saturday morning and ride horses. Mine was named Opal. She was maybe a little too small for me but it's the experience that counts right? Also you will notice that I rode bareback with just a pad down over the horse. Who's a real cowgirl? Actually it was a little more painful I imagine than it would have been riding with a saddle.

A group of people from our ward went to the Utah State Fair and saw Boys II Men. That's right, they're still around! It brought me way back to when I was a small child. They were still just as great and are very classy men I might add.
After the concert, we went and rode the rides. Not a very big selection but they had my favorite ride...the Ferris Wheel! There is something about it that I have always just loved! I also determined on this ride that I prefer the small ferris wheel. They only had the giant wheel there and it made me so nauseated. I am definitely getting old, I can't handle the rides at the fair like I used to!
Dede and I decided that we wanted to go see The Killers in Salt Lake. We went with some friends from our ward! What a great concert! I can honestly say that this is the best concert I have been too! Their stage set up and special effects were amazing and they were awesome live performers.

After seeing The Killers in concert I determined that it would be hard to top that concert. It was so great! That was until we went and saw This Is It at the theater last night. I wish that I would have had the opportunity to see him perform live. If you have not seen this movie you should! He was such a talented musician. It was amazing how detailed and intricate the effects and music to each song was planned and rehearsed for. I think that would have been the most amazing concert ever!

It's official...I'm a blogger!
I didn't think this would happen until I was married, but it did! And I'm excited! Thanks to good friends I was able to actually create this! I thought I was technologically savvy but apparently I'm impaired. It took me a while to figure out how to do this. But now I am and there's no going back!
