Sure do love Black Friday

I love Black Friday! I think it is a great way to get into the holiday spirit! I love the crowds and the madness as a kickoff to the holiday shopping season. Preston, Megan, and I went to Toys R Us at midnight on Thanksgiving night. There is only one store in Idaho which was made very well known by the thousands of people lined up around the entire strip mall that had the store in it. We waited in line for about 20 minutes and were able to get in. They weren't stopping anyone from getting in so there were probably well over 1000 people in the store! Crazy! We stood in line for about 3 1/2 hours and got home around 4 am after stopping at Jack in the Box on the way home! Needless to say, that was my only Black Friday shopping, and I purely just went for the experience, I wasn't even buying! Call me crazy but I think it is great!
As you can imagine, 3 1/2 hours gets really long standing in line so we took a few pictures while we were standing in line and made a few friends and maybe a few unfriends (aka the lady standing behind us in this picture, talk about scrooge...haha!)

Bringing Back the 1920's

Since Halloween was on a Saturday this year we were able to party all weekend! Friday night we were invited to a murder mystery party in Midway. I was Vicky Ravioli. My husband had recently divorced me for a younger girl and I had received $50,000 dollars in the settlement. My motto the entire night was "I turned him from a boy to a man for another woman." Haha...I wasn't bitter though because I was secretly dating two other men, one of them was Brooke's husband in the murder mystery. What a scandalous woman!
I really enjoyed getting my costume together for this party though. Brooke was originally going to wear the wig but she didn't like it so I decided to wear it. It was a fun change for the night. I decided though that I love my long hair and that wig gave me more short hair fulfillment for the night so I won't cut my hair again! I had a lot of fun researching 1920s styles and creating a costume. The styles are becoming modern again. It was easy to find my costume. I think the 1920s fashions are so great!
This picture was on Halloween night! I had to lose the wig because it gave me such a bad headache on Friday night. I woke up on Saturday and the thought of wearing it again made me want to cry so I improvised! On Friday we went to a party in Lindon at Noah's place. Then we went to a party that was just across the street from our apartment complex. They were both a lot of fun and I love dressing up! I love Halloween more and more every year! To top off Halloween night we made caramel apples! Yummy!
